Alex specializes in graduate level mathematics. He worked with students that applied to Olympiad programs in the past and solved problems in competition with exceptional results.

Mathematics is a conceptual science and Alex tries to help students visualize theorems and proofs. His approach differs from step by step problem solving. Understanding mathematics conceptually allows students to solve problems creatively, applying general methods as apposed to solving only specific problem instances.

He is currently a PhD student at the CUNY Graduate Center.
